「天翠」が誕生するまでの秘話
An unknown story of how 「TEN-SUI」was born
2007年の9月。
お茶のオリンピックとも言える全国茶業連合青年団主催の「第54回 茶審査技術競技大会」が行われた。この大会は、全国一のお茶の審査技術を競う大会であり、全国から茶業青年団に属する百二十人ものプロが集まり、お茶の"味・香り・外観"等から、品質や産地を鑑別する目利き技術を競うものだ。
この大会で、当社社員鈴木義夫は見事"優勝"。そこで、当社社長は鈴木に「最高のお茶をブレンドしてくれ」と指示を出した。しかし、最高のブレンド茶とはいったいどういうものなのか？？そう簡単に作れるわけではない・・・、
まずは頭の中で理想のお茶をイメージ。
次に、一番茶の中から全体の調和が取れるように、また、自分が本当に美味しいと思えるブレンドの配合の研究を重ねた。そして、辿り着いたのが「天翠」である。
"香りの奥行き"や"旨み渋み"等のバランスが絶妙の味わいに仕上がった。
「天翠」は家康公が愛した本山茶を主体に牧の原の深蒸しなどから良品をピックアップし、優れた感性をもってブレンドしたものだ。現在、多くの愛好者から支持を受けている。茶審査技術競技大会には段位制度があり、鈴木はその最高位「十段位」を取得している。
目利き技術の高さの証明でもある。
（十段とは・・・全国茶審査技術競技会において優勝したり、何度も良い成績を残して、六段、七段、八段、九段と登り詰めた先の最高位です。現在全国で27人（2025年1月時点）の十段がいます。）
54th meeting of tea examination skill was held by the young mes's assosiation of
tea business in Japan. It could be called the Olympics of the tea meisters.
It is a meeting to compete for tea examination skills to assess the qualit;y
and identify production area by "taste, fragrance and appearance" of the tea in Japan.
There professionals of 120 belong to the association gather from the whole country.
Our employee Yoshio Suzuki won the "Championship" in this meeting.
Then our president had him blend the best tea ever.
He thougt,what the best blend tea is like?
...not that easy to make it...
At first he imagined ideal tea in his mind.
Then,he worked on research and development of blending until he could think
really delicious.
He paid attention to get good harmony also.
And finally he reached the best blend,and named it"TEN-SUI".
"TEN-SUI" is blended with superior sensitivity.
He has selected first flush of Fukamusi Makinohara and meinly Honyama-cha which
Shogun Ieyasu loved.
It has exquisite taste with deep fragrance,Umami flavor and bitterness.
The tea examination skill meetinng includes a grade system,and
Suzuki acquired"tenth rank"of top
It is a proof of having a high mastery of the skills.
(Ju-dan; tenth rank isi the best rank of the meeting which you can acquire after winning
he championship in the meeting several times or getting excellent results there many times.)
